Terremoto in Cile N°2 - LAN Airlines

LAN AIRLINES IS GRADUALLY RESUMING THEIR FLIGHT OPERATIONS FROM MADRID AND FRANKFURT TO SANTIAGO.


Madrid, March 3rd, 2010.

LAN informs passengers that as of today it will resume its scheduled flight to Santiago, Chili and Frankfurt.

Due to the earthquake, the airport at Santiago, Chili suffered significant damage.

As a result LAN airlines established a temporary terminal to allow for operations. In spite of this only 20% of air traffic from the Santiago airport is currently opperating.

As of today and until Friday, March 5th inclusive, the flight Frankfurt – Madrid - Santiago de Chili is expected to resume operations. Only those passengers who have been affected by flight cancelations as a result of the eathquake will have priority.

For all passengers with confirmed flight reservations to fly from Madrid to Santiago, Chile between February 27th and March 5th inclusive, LAN asks all travel agencies to contact our Call Center at 02 72023196 (Milano) or lan@vamos.it to confirm reservations for flights which will be operating within the next days.

LAN estimates that as of March 6th operations will gradually return to normal and commits to maintaining updates concerning flight schedules and operations. In the meatime it is strongly recommend to consult the following LAN’s website where all official press releases and information concerning flight updates are being posted:
