As a result of the new notice of pilots strike announced by Iberia on February 17th and 20th and in an effort to maintain our service standards, LAN will offer alternatives for passengers to change their travel plans.

This applies to passengers holding LAN tickets with itineraries on flights operated by IB on February 17 and 20 (including IB flights cancelled on February 16), who will be eligible to one of the following options:

Changes must be processed no later than March 07, 2012

1. One date change

A one-time date change free of penalty (in or outbound) to travel no later than June 30, 2012. The rest of fare regulations must be complied.

LAN Flights: subject to cabin availability

As an exception, IB connections and LA* codeshares operated by IB may be rebooked according to:

Flight protections until February 23rd: if the original fare class is not available, the protection may be done in any class available in the same ticketed cabin (keeping original fare construction).

Flight protections between February 24th and June 30th: will be subject to class availability in the ticketed cabin

Changes on IB flights cannot be booked in the following blackout dates:

Between March 30 and April 9, 2012

Between April 27 and May 2, 2012

Between May 11 and May 16, 2012

Changes for other dates apply according to all fare regulations.

(*) Change subject to cabin availability involves: if space is available in the original cabin of the flight requested, the agent may request the original fare class to his/her LAN Sales Support Executive to complete reissue. Reissue using another class of service is subject to debit memos.

(**) Change subject to class availability involves: changes are subject to class availability of the original class of service available thru the distribution systems or payment of fare differences.

Agents may complete the reissue process without a waiver request supporting changes in the PNR with a SSR standard message and in the Endorsement/Restrictions box of the ticket: INVOL CHG DUE TO IB STRIKE/ DATE/ROUTE

2. Refund:

Refunds are subject to fare regulation. As an exception, passengers on flights affected with tickets issued in Europe, USA, AR, BR, CA, CL, CO, EC, AU and NZ are eligible for a penalty-free refund of the ticket or flight coupons. In these cases, agents may directly process the refund stating: INVOL REF DUE TO IBERIA STRIKE/ DATE/ROUTE

Passengers with interline sectors that want to fly just their LAN Long Haul portion of the trip, may request refund of the un-flown coupons at the end of the trip.
