Chiusura Rotta Lima-Rosario

We announce to all our travel partners that due to legal definitions of Argentinian authorities from March 01, 2012, LAN has been forced to cease the international operation between Rosario and Lima on flights LA2778 and LA2779. Flights are already closed for sales and from February 10, cancelations will be displayed in reservations.

Reservations with cancelled flights LA2778/ROS LIM and LA2779/LIM ROS will hold a protection flight arriving/departing from EZE (Buenos Aires). In other words, passengers traveling from/to ROS will arrive/departure from EZE. LAN will offer ground transportation between ROS EZE ROS for reservations ticketed until February 10, 2012.

Passengers of travel agencies holding LAN tickets with flights cancelled will be protected by LAN through the system. Travel agents should complete the process of reissue without a waiver request as follow:

a) If the passenger accept the protection offered:

- Delete from the PNR the UN segments

- Reissue using the protection given in the PNR with the original booking class

- Complete ticket reissue keeping: ticketed class, fare construction (fare break points), base fare and taxes. Do no quote the itinerary.

- Enter a SSR CKIN in PNRs as well as a message in the Endorsement/restriction box of the ticket: INVOL RERTE DUE TO CLOSURE ROSLIMROS/date

- Passengers disconnected in an intermediate point due to the protection given by LAN, may request hotel accommodations according to regular procedures.

- Passengers that need to change their travel dates keeping the route offered (departures/arrivals BUE) may opt to a date change regardless the penalty rule and subject to cabin availability on LAN flights (the rest of fare regulation should be honored). If interline flights are included in passenger’s itinerary, changes apply subject to booking class as usual. However, ground transportation will be offered to travel no later August 31, 2012; for travel afterwards the service will not be available.

Transportation between ROS BUE ROS

LAN will offer ground transportation between ROS and BUE airport (vice versa) with Manuel Tienda de Leon service (MTL) to passengers accepting the protection given. Transportation from ROS to EZE takes approximately 4.5 hours; therefore, passengers should plan considering this time in advance to take their flight to LIM.

- To apply for this service travel agents should request the following mandatory data:

Passenger’s Full Name

Home or hotel address in Rosario

Telephone Number

Passenger DNI (not mandatory for US passengers)

Date, flight and schedule information for BUE LIM BUE

Travel agent email and phone number

- Transportation’s request should be sent to your LAN Sales Support Executive via e-mail at least 72 hours before journey departure.

- Agents should enter the following SSR CKIN in the PNR for each flight segment to support the information given to the passenger about the ground transportation:

SSR CKIN LA- PSGR IS ADV TRANSP FROM ROS TO EZE VIA MTL FOR DEPARTURE LAxxx/5MAR/BUELIM/S2/P1

SSR CKIN LA- PSGR IS AV TRANSP FROM EZE TO ROS FOR ARRIVAL LAxxx/10MAR/LIMEZE/S3/P1

- If a passenger just accepts the flight protection, the following message should be entered for each segment:

SSR CKIN LA- PSGR ONLY ACCEPT PROTECT FLIGHT LAxxx/5MAR/BUELIM/S2/P1

- The LAN Sales Support Executive will coordinate the land transportation with MTL, addressing the passenger’s and agency’s contact data to reservas@mtlrosario.com.ar with copy to the ROS supervisor Maria Eugenia Rua maria.rua@lan.com. Enter the following subject to MTL e-mail:

-FACTURACION a LAN PERU – xx PAXs, where xx is the number of protected passengers (in the event of more than 1 passenger protected)

-FACTURACION a LAN PERU – PAX xxxx where xxxx is the name of the passenger protected (in the event of 1 passenger protected).

- MTL will confirm the service to the LAN Sales Support Executive and Maria Eugenia Rua, attaching the passengers’ e-vouchers for both segments. LAN Sales Support Executives should forward the e-vouchers to the agency.

The travel agent should also consider:

- Each travel agency is responsible for forwarding the e-vouchers to its passengers. Passengers arriving in EZE from LIM must go to the MTL counter at EZE airport to coordinate their transportation to ROS. Although producing e-vouchers is not mandatory, it is recommended.

- Passengers starting their trips in ROS will be contacted by MTL to coordinate pick up them at home or hotel.

- For additional information of departures and arrivals, passenger may visit http://www.tiendaleon.com.ar/home/home.asp or contact to 0810-888-5366 or (0341) 4098000 en ROS.

b) If the passenger DECLINES the alternative given he/she may choose one of the following options that may be processed by the travel agent free of penalty or waiver request:

- Change of destination (reissue as form of payment), free of penalty and subject to current policy. For partially use tickets, the value to be accepted is proportional to the unused coupons.

Ticket reissue should be supported by a mandatory message in a SSR CKIN and in the Endorsement/restrictions box of the ticket: INVOL RERTE DUE TO CLOSURE ROSLIM/DATE.

- Refund without penalty regardless fare regulation, it applies to used or partially used tickets. Agents may process refund stating REF DUE TO LAXXX/date/route CNLD (details of the flight affected).

Travel agents should verify that the previous SSR as: seats, special meals, DOCS, etc. are reinstated for the new flight sectors.

Any other situation out of the provisions mentioned above should be evaluated by the LAN Sales Support Executive who will check and determine the guidelines according to current LAN disruption policy.
